I am not an early morning person ... I'm never at a 100% before 9am. Luckily I don't look like this guy when I wake up... at least I hope not. I'm planning on painting him, so check back soon to see this illo in color!

Wow it's been a long time since my last post! I'm so glad October is over ... November is proving to be a much better month. So yeah, Hi! I'm back. This week's IF subject was 'Hats' and my entry is a "Hats Off!" to the brave fire fighters in So Cal!

I've been having a good time designing some characters for a company called Red Heat. Here's one of the little critters...© Red Heat

I'm not quite certain how the local youth theatre company is going to tackle this show... I mean, in the original story the Emperor is nude. So I'm assuming the little lead kid will either wear underoos or they booked Dan Radcliffe... and I think I woulda heard about that. Anyways, I had a lot of fun designing this tshirt for the cast and crew.

If I could be floating along on a slab of ice right now, I'd be one happy camper. It's so hot!

Comic Con!!!

I love living in San Diego... the beach, the weather, the CON!!! This year I went 3 of the 4 days and really had a blast. I got to hang out with some friends of whom I hadn't seen in a long time and I got to chat with some great artists. The major highlights were getting a caricature by Stephen Silver (soooo awesome) and Peter de Seve autographing and sketching in books that I own. It was so inspiring to watch him draw!

You know, I think I had too great a time because when I got home Saturday night I came down with the flu. I guess I breathed in more than just the foul Nerd BO stink that was wafting plentifully through the convention center. I'm thinking of getting a booth next year just to hand out deoderant to all the passersby. Man, that's such a good idea.
